A multi-agency law enforcement investigation led authorities to approximately 446 grams of methamphetamine, multiple stolen firearms and other stolen property after a search warrant was executed at a Dayton residence earlier this month, according to the Nevada Department of Public Safety.

On Nov. 13, 2020, the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Investigation Division's North Central Narcotic Task Force conducted a joint operation with the Churchill County Sheriff's Office and Lyon County Sheriff's Office in Fallon and Dayton concerning a commercial burglary.

During the operation, a residential search warrant was executed at a residence in Dayton. This search warrant resulted in the location of multiple stolen firearms, a stolen utility terrain vehicle (UTV), approximately 446 grams of methamphetamine, and other stolen property, according to a Nevada Department of Public Safety news release.

"The NCNTF's mission is to identify, infiltrate, disrupt, and ultimately dismantle Drug Trafficking Organizations," said Nevada DPS, Investigations Sergeant Jason Gothan. "To that end, the Nevada Department Of Public Safety- Investigation Division and the NCNTF routinely partner with local agencies and neighboring Narcotic Task Forces to combat the trafficking and distribution of controlled substances along with quality of life investigations such as Burglary."

The Nevada Department of Public Safety says as the investigation is ongoing that it cannot release any more information at this time. Updates will be provided upon completion of the investigation, according to the news release.
